Activating Unlocked Cell Phones…
Monday, May 19th, 2008 |What can I say. Hooking up an ‘Unlocked Cell Phones‘ for service is a relatively easy process, even if you don’t have a contract yet.

The first task at hand is to sign up for the service any of the available outlets island wide. (Well, those in Singapore are island wide… Can’t say the same for the rest though.) Of course, they will ask you if you need a phone, but if you already have one by all means don’t buy another. Tell the sales representative that you already own a handset.
(They may ask which model you own for market survey purposes or something, but they shouldn’t require that information to provide service.)
Once you’ve signed your contract and have your SIM card, just pop it into the phone and start making calls. (But of course, the service has to be activated first.) It is as simple as that.
Okay. There are a couple points to keep in mind though… (more…)
