Receiving a phone call, my sister asked, “Is the ground shaking?” It seems an earthquake has struck Indonesia and residents in Singapore were slight affected.
“An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 has struck western Indonesia, says Indonesia’s meteorological agency. Tremors have been reportedly felt in certain parts of Singapore as well, including Toa Payoh, Bukit Panjang, Marine Parade and Whampoa.”
Even though Steven Chua, an AsiaOne reader, wrote in claiming that he felt tremors at his Sengkang home from about 6.15pm to 6.25pm. But no, I felt nothing. And thank goodness for that.
