Edison Chen ‘Sex Scandal’: New Media HORROR
In the past we depend a lot on newspapers and magazines for up to date news, announcements and perhaps even gossips. However, after the evolution of blogs and such, which you can refer to as ‘new media’, we no longer need to suffer black stained fingers from flipping the pages of the Straits Times.
But are the data accurately translated?
Well, I cannot be certain about that. After all, lately there are blogs that write frictional headlines just to gain more traffic for themselves.
Call it a misuse of media. Tsk.
Now, the case of Edison Chen ‘Sex Scandal’ (other involving parties includes Gillian Chung and Bobo Chan) somewhat leads you to ask this question -
Is the Internet still safe?
Was it ever?
With a blog, almost any individual has the power to state their own opinion (which sometimes involves reverting the actual truth). And with the aid of search engines such as Google, news are transmitted on a global platform.
A simple, probably accidental, ad reflection on Yahoo! Hong Kong’s front page gave dozens of bloggers something else to say.
P/s: I’m still in the mist of migrating data. So many things to do, so little time.

Looks perfectly straight to me. Of course, I’m also the type of person who allegedly [ahem! allegedly] agree with everything.

Stuff of this kind always sounds attractive, no matter what exactly is written. My friends and I always visit this page and write a lot of comments, because this type of news are amazing.
